Danielle Taylor is a Nashville-ish native, watercolor artist, and paint-maker. She likes people and their stories. Everyone has a story, and Danielle loves to listen to and learn from others. And it’s even better if it can be over a coffee as she’s always caffeinated.
As a proud aunt, sister, daughter, and partner, Danielle would spend all her time soaking up experiences with her family and friends if she could. Most weekends, you’ll find Danielle at her studio, an art market, traveling, or thinking about her next trip. When it’s not the weekend, she walks most mornings with her father and works hard to develop community over competition in every aspect of her life. Danielle has a near-supernatural ability to find new restaurants, hip coffee shops, and hidden stores most native Nashvillians have overlooked.
You can find out more about Danielle and follow her “every day is a new adventure” philosophy on Instagram.
Dani's watercolor paintings and merchandise festoon the walls and shelves of Taylor Street Art and Books. She loves to share her work and often teaches classes in the shop and around the Middle Tennessee area.
Brian Kannard has the rare distinction of being one of the few Nashville natives left in the city. After managing small retail concerns and joining the ranks of corporate management, Brian decided to leave that world behind to focus on writing and publishing enterprises. In 2008, Brian opened Grave Distractions Publications, where he worked with a diverse group of authors, including New York Times bestselling co-author of Holy Blood, Holy Grail—Henry Lincoln. One of the pinnacles of Brian’s career was writing Steinbeck Citizen Spy. The text explores an association between The Grapes of Wrath, author John Steinbeck, and the CIA.
Brian closed the publishing company in 2018 to focus on freelance publications, author consulting, and ghostwriting. Throughout his career, Brian has been involved with over 1000 book projects and has authored or ghostwritten 30 titles. You can reach Brian through Taylor Street Art and Books contact form.
In addition to all things publishing, Brian creates dioramas that are on display and for sale at the shop. Each work is an homage to either media that's been important to Brian or standalone scenes.
