Southern Festival of Books
This October 18–19, you’ll find us at the Southern Festival of Books at Nashville's Bicentennial Mall. Taylor Street Art and Books is proud to be repping Andrews McMeel Publishing, and we’re especially excited to welcome McMeel author and illustrator Jessica Roux. She’ll be signing copies of her fan-favorite books—Floriography, Ornithography, and Jane Austen’s Gardens—as well as launching her brand-new Woodlands Warden Tarot Deck. We're planning for the store to be open, so if you can't make the Southern Festival of Books, stop by the store.
New Moon Market at 100 Taylor Street

New Moon Market
We’re teaming up with Dead End Records to host the New Moon Market at 100 Taylor Street on Tuesday, October 21st.
There will be vendors and TBA events. The gem of the New Moon Market is a community art show that welcomes both new and established vendors to share their work, connect with local creators, and be part of a night full of art, music, and magic. For guidelines and more information, drop us a line at this link.

Book Club at Bearded Iris
Every first Tuesday at 7 PM

We're partnering with Bearded Iris Brewery for an open book club on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. The vibe is chill. There are no tricky questions or pop quizzes. We believe that books are designed to stimulate conversations between friends.
Here are the books for the next few months:
September 2, 2025: Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy.
October 7, 2025: Violin Conspiracy by  Brendan Slocumb
November 3, 2025: My Heart is a Chainsaw by Stephen Graham Jones
December 1, 2025: We're having a book swap and general chat about books we loved reading this year.
If you didn't buy the book from us, don't worry. If you didn't read the book, don't worry. We'd love for you to come out, grab a Bearded Iris beer, and hang out.
Banned Book Club
Every Second Sunday at 1 PM
Join us at Corsair Distillery in Marathon Village for a bold and thought-provoking book club celebrating the power of banned books! Each second Sunday at 1 PM, we’ll dive into a different title that has faced censorship in schools and other institutions, exploring the stories, ideas, and controversies that make these books so important. We'll be discussing the following:
October 12, 2025: Daughters of Eve by Lois Duncan
November 9, 2025: Jerusalem: Chronicles from the Holy City by Guy Delisle
December 14, 2025: Lord of the Flies (Graphic Novel) by William Golding
Whether you’re a free speech advocate, a literature lover, or just curious about the books they don’t want you to read, this is your space to engage in open discussions and challenge the status quo.
Come for the conversation, stay for the freedom to read.
Open Painting Hours with Dani Taylor
Every last Sunday of the month at 1 PM

Join watercolorist and Taylor Street Art and Books co-owner Dani Taylor for open painting hours. This casual gathering is a chance to sit down with your own supplies, try something new, or just enjoy the shop's creative atmosphere.
All skill levels are welcome, and there’s no cost to attend. Some people come to paint, others come to talk about their week, and plenty enjoy being in the room with art in motion.
